Loved our room. Wish we could always request the same room. Husband has limitations on walking long distance. The woman at check in was most accomdating. We were close to the elevator. Kudos.
The rugs were dirty and the staff at the counter was rude. The ice machine on my floor didn't work and the tv volume kept cutting on and off. Overall a terrible hotel and would never recommend it.
The room was fairly clean and up to date
I did not realize I could cancel w/in 24 hours, but that is not the hotel's fault. Did not like paying ten dollars a night to park, found out at check in. The double beds were on the small side. The person who checked me was not friendly at first when I asked to cancel because I had not booked directly with them. Just felt that with the economy the way it is and people willing to spend hard earned money, there could be a break somewhere, perhaps with parking for free or reduced rate.
The hotel is in the middle of a brand change and will be a Crowne Plaza in 3 months. Convenient location, has a shuttle to the station, the food in the restaurant in the evening was a bit indifferent. Overall a good experience.
Nice new rooms
Because they are changing the place, it's very empted. There's no real breakfast
the room was clean, soory thats all i can say it was two of us and 1 wascloth, we had no remote for the television and the curtains were see through.
I was over charged for the room Booked.net was one price and when I checked in they charged my credit card extra money. I was woken up by construction. I booked it for the pool and it was closed. I was not satisfied I wanted to relax and that was not possible when I was woken up by banging and drills at 8 am or maybe it was 7.
It was convenient for business travel as there was a dry cleaners close by and some places to shop.
Floor of the room felt 'gritty' to me... Parking confusing, often times my room key did not work to get me in/out.
Big room. Friendly staff .
The breakfast was the worst that I have ever seen in a hotel! All that was on offer was a pot of coffee (and this was empty on one day), a pot of juice, and a basket of plasticky pastries in cellophane wrappers. And this was laughingly called a "continental breakfast". On top of that, this was served on a small table in the lobby, where we were expected to eat (or leave, presumably). I ate my breakfast elsewhere. The gym equipment was pretty tired, and two machines had already been retired to the hallway, awaiting removal. The sauna and steam room were cold.
It's a very nice hotel. Has everything what you need and maybe even a little bit more. If you're comfortable with the price, you should definitely go for it and will not regret for a second.
If you do not need a gym, a swimming pool, and a very fancy room, you can find a cheaper option in Stamford.
The rooms were nice.
When I checked in after a long drive the front desk female receptionist was not friendless and made me feel uncomfortable. She did not smile nor did she tell me anything about the hotel or my stay. The layout of the hotel is such that some rooms require a long distance to walk . The morning crew was very nice .
I booked my room as I was traveling north and needed a place to stay mid-point in my travels and liked that the hotel had an indoor pool. I found that though the room was rather bare bones in terms of amenities, it was very clean and spacious with even a small sofa. The bed was great, something I have found to be rather rare in other hotel stays of comparable price range. While I didn't get to use the indoor pool, I feel that overall, in terms of the price I paid, safety of location, accessibility to dining options, comfortableness and friendly staff, I would highly recommend this hotel.
I have stayed many times. They never charged the $10.00 advertised parking fee. Suddenly this time, they did - yet, the parking was no different or improved over the previous. They had already set a precedent of not charging for parking and yet suddenly started charging. Also, the phone did not work in my room and so I had to hope the alarm clock woke me. The refrigerator, which had always been included, and which was listed as included on my itinerary, was missing. I asked about it when checking out and was told I had to request it when reserving (the site does NOT say this and it was always there before, without requesting it) and that now there would be a $24 charge! It had always been free and nowhere on the site does it say that you must request and that there is a charge. They are trying to recover money, as the place is always empty like a ghosttown. Carpets are faded and dirty and there was hair in the "clean" tub. I don't plan on returning.
A very nice clean hotel very friendly staff willing to go out of their way To help you . Really a nice place hope to be back next year
